Mary Whale BA, BScN, RN, CGN

Currently working at the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital with the elderly.

Mary is both a visual artist (membership in the Alberta Society of Artists and the Canadian Society of Painters in Watercolour) and nurse intrigued by the idea of combining the two vocations...the possibilities are endless. Her current interests are as below and would welcome collaboration for further development.

• raising the level of awareness of aesthetic knowing in nursing through art-based programming for nurses
• advocating for elders by promoting their unique beauty visually
• investigating the elder portraiture sitting process therapeutically
